1. Why do you like this character? Okay. So, ever since I watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, I have been a sucker for a well written redemption arc. However, if I were to get into specifics, I think there's a lot to explore in this character from a literary perspective. He's complicated. Very complicated. His motivations make a lot of sense even if he goes about things in ways that aren't objectively moral. Which, honestly? That is stuff you don't see in children's TV much since Gargoyles or other things from the 90s and early 2000s. He has the backstory and personality of a Shakespearean tragic hero. He reminds me of like if you shoved Macbeth and Hamlet in a blender in the best way possible, and then, somehow, came out with Macduff? IDK how that works, but that's what happened. Secondly, I find him relatable to my literal life. Zuko hit me when I was just a little younger than Zuko's age. I saw Sofia the First, for the first time in earnest, as I approach 30. I am, exactly, the right age to relate to Cedric's personal issues. So, I like him because a lot of the stuff he deals with is the stuff I'm processing in my own life. Aging parents. Trying to repair a difficult relationship with my own dad as we both grow older. Realizing I might not be able to fix everything that's missing there, and trying to walk the line between indifference and cynicism. Check. Trying to form a solid relationship with a/my child and teach them things. (Granted my squish is biological, but still. Check.) Trying to look past my own personal failings to create a better world for my kid and future generations. Check. Trying to look past what people say/ have said about me and others like me to see the intrinsic good in myself despite my nuanced set of identities. Check. Realizing that my kid just existing in my life is what gives me hope to see myself as great. And, maybe, just maybe, that's a lesson I can teach my kid without them having to go through all the crap I've gone through to learn it: we are great because, unmasked, in our fullness, together with others, we are greater than in isolation. So, I like him because it's easy to walk his journey and see some elements of my own life and where I'm at personally. And, you know what? The show does a nice job presenting this struggle. I feel less alone in my own crap when I watch it. I've got a buddy to walk in my adult problems with while my kiddo gets a princess to learn how to be a good person alongside. I LOVE that. It's truly something we both get something out of, which, is, like, SO supremely rare. As a parent, I just cannot express how much I care about that. Bluey might be the only other program I can think of that does "both" as well as Sofia does. Like, I don't know if there are any other fans in this fandom who are parents. But, man ... Cedric hits because *all* of the life stuff he's dealing with is stuff that, like, is so real. Especially the stuff with his parents. Oof. I don't know if any of y'all have had parents age. But, it's a different beast y'all. It makes you think about things, it makes you want to retreat, and it makes you want to fix things - all at the same time. Sorry if that's a lot. But, when we talk about Cedric being an adult, this is what we mean. So, I just kind of fell in love with Cedric's character because in so many ways his story just kept slapping for me from every angle.

I don't think that Pippin Took is not intelligent, or smart.

I think he's an incredibly bright, young hobbit with the self-preservation of any 16-year-old human who just wants to know and understand everything.

Going by the books (because I love Pippin in the books), it's fairly clear that he quite clever, just reckless and very, very curious to the point that not knowing something is an irritating itch that he just has to scratch.

To me, Pippin seems like the kind of child who was told that he asked too many questions and needed to sit down and be quiet, which led to him seeking answers himself, regardless of how dangerous it might seem. Hence dropping the stone down the well (who doesn't want to see how deep a very dark pit goes?), touching the palantír (in his defense, he didn't really want to but he felt something pulling him towards it. Whether it was his curiosity or something ulterior in the palantír is up for interpretation in my mind), even joining the conspiracy to uncover what Frodo was really doing when he sold Bag End.

Pippin is just someone who craves knowledge and is unafraid to go and find answers himself, probably because everyone constantly tells him that he asks too many questions and that he can't possibly wish to know everything.

I like the backrooms in general as a concept. They also provide me so much solace, but also, they freak me out a bit. But in general, I find solace in inherently creepy stuff... in theory.

I also like those vaporwave-esque liminal spaces and like abandoned malls. But again, this is all in theory. If I actually had to physically occupy a liminal space alone, I'd be uncomfy.

For Lucas What is a trusted and a non trusted darlings daily schedule like?

And what would he expect in general on their very first day with him?

Generally, they get up together; how trusted they are depends on how much of their own free will they get to exercise! A trusted darling might be allowed to shower alone and pick their own clothes; if not trusted, Lucas will insist on doing those things for them. (Although, that being said, even if a trusted darling is allowed to do it alone he does get warm and fuzzy feelings from being asked to do something for them like brush their hair or choose between a colour to wear!).

A trusted darling might be allowed to go out into the garden to check the chickens for eggs and to feed them - Lucas might come with them, or he might not. That's a privilege, though - if they're not trusted, he expects them to stay inside, and perhaps get things ready for breakfast.

They eat together; who made the food depends on a lot of things, but generally Lucas likes to cook together! A non-trusted darling might not be permitted to handle things like knives and fire, though.

As for the rest of the day . . . darling is free to fill it as they like, mostly. Lucas has plenty of things he needs to do around the house (that's a negative to living off-grid). They can fill their days reading or sewing or listening to music or baking. Darlings who aren't trusted have to stick to hobbies that require a little less complication and things that can't be turned back on Lucas, though - they can draw or read or do a jigsaw puzzle. Things like baking in the kitchen alone or sewing (those scissors! those machines!) are reserved for when he trusts them more.

A trusted darling might also be allowed to go outside with Lucas for a little bit. They might have a patch of garden that they can tend to themselves and grow flowers, or Lucas might ask for help tending to vegetables.

In the evening, they share another meal - the same applies as earlier. They might cuddle on the couch or watch a Western or listen to music together. If Lucas is feeling content, he might not even go out into the woods, especially if it's been quiet - but if he does, a non-trusted darling is generally put to bed early and locked in the house (and Lucas will carefully make sure everywhere that can be locked is; if he could, he'd lock them in the bedroom, but unfortunately they do need to use the bathroom. Darling will hear every lock on every window click shut one by one). With a trusted darling, though . . . he still locks the front door behind him and still warns them to stay inside, but they can stay up later reading or carrying on with a project (he'll still tell them to not stay up too late!). They can even open a window if the evening is getting too hot. They have a lot more free reign over the cabin!

Cult Au stuff,

Pip and Damien lead it, Damien is the figure head while Pip actually manages the cult. They're both 21-25.

Pip loves the cult members, he finds the human connection comforting. In truth it's the only human interaction he gets. Damien doesn't count, he's a demon.

It starts with Damien being forced by Satan to start a cult, to learn how to lead people when he takes over hell.

Damien kidnaps the first person he sees, which happens to be Pip (on his normal commute to work)

Damien keeps Pip in a cabin deep in the woods isolated and cruelly keeps him from water and food. When Pip is broken down, spiritually, mentally, and physically, Damien finally starts manipulating him. His only reading material is the Bible which he reads daily. Damien then starts tampering with his dreams, giving him visions by "god" and other things of the sort. Pip promptly starts rewriting the Bible, to be "More in line with what god is telling me." Then he starts with the doctrine of the cult, and what their "religion" would stand for.

Damien is happy, he gets to do nothing while Pip makes the whole cult. After everything is finalized and set in stone they start recruiting. They prey on the poor and needy.

Misc notes:

they have a thing with lambs and sheep, Pip likes to call the children lambs, and the members if they piss him off enough, or if he's feeling condescending.

Pip is crazy, he is very fragile and is quick to anger but he masks it well. He hates Damien, his "husband."

Don't call Pip's precious "religion" a cult he will get hostile and have whenever said it, punished.

Men, women and children wear white dresses with mother of pearl trimming. There's no discussion on it.

Pip spends his days with the children, he believes they are important to the religion and will be their most dedicated members with proper teachings. If he's not there he'll be doing everything the cult needs him to.

The other main thing of their cult is being branded with the pentagram to their forehead. You only get branded if you're really dedicated.

Pip also accidentally makes himself a pseudo Jesus, with his direct line to "god" in his visions.

Pip and Damien have special dresses, Damien actually wears a black toga with a red sash. He hates the dresses. Pip's dress has a little more detailing in the front and a red sash, pushing his status up in the cult. On very special occasions (weddings, funerals, and childbirth) they wear mantillas.

Both Pip and Damien are nice, excessively so. But its all to manipulate the people that they are "safe"

They live off the land, and have many chores and jobs for everyone to do, so they're not just laying around and start questioning their religion.

No access to technology either. No electricity too.

The cult is also cut from the rest of the world, being located in a forest.

Pip hates Damien (this isn't a dip au.) In their shared room they often fight, Pip is hostile and Damien thinks it's funny to provoke him.

The au will have Gregory and Christophe being the ones to bring justice and dismantle the cult, trust.

A bad ending is basically how heaven's gate ended.

Haii! This isn't really a request but i was wondering how you made the moodboards so lined up? I was also wondering if you had any tips? I really want to start making some ^^ /gen /nm /genq

This is a really good question!! And because I wanted to answer it thoroughly, this answer got really really long lol so the it's under the cut!

The short answer is that I crop all of my pictures manually! I usually do that in the gallery on my phone, but it can also be done here on Tumblr. The aspect ratio you're looking for is 1:1, which makes a perfect square!! If you scroll through the pictures on (most of) my moodboards, you'll see that they line up uniformly as squares, which lets me make perfect 3:3 grids! Also, I don't usually use gifs, but those need to be cropped by a third-party app or website most of the time if you plan on using those.

As for general tips, I gave some advice here! I don't have much advice on how to make moodboards because I think everyone has a unique style that they bring to their content. I'll tell you a few things that I do for my stuff, though!

I usually stick to about three main colors per moodboard, unless it's supposed to be colorful specifically!

I have a few go-to items that I put in my moodboards: blankets, stuffies, pacifiers, sweaters, books, and sometimes also lights!!

I add as many tags as I can think of to my stuff! That's how people discover new content!!

The last thing I can think of is I always try to make the theme of moodboard clear. Like, I ask myself 'if there was no title or request attached to it, would people still be able to guess what it's supposed to be?' This is easiest with characters because you can just put their face in there! Idk thinking about that helps me sometimes with sticking to a theme!!

2. Favorite canon thing about this character? I love so many things about him. But, I really love that he's basically the unofficial narrator of the game if you use the phone feature well? Like, I just find that so fun. You can call him in almost every room and get a fun fact or some little bit of lore, and that just makes me happy. There's so much that he knows! He's got an encyclopedic knowledge of the Underground! It's incredible!

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character? Hmm ... this is hard because I love so much about how Toby wrote him. I suppose, if I dug deep, I'd say that I'd just have liked more information about his dislike of Hotland and, perhaps, a bit more on Papyrus' relationships with people besides Sans. It's clear he and Undyne have a close relationship, but it's never really explored as much as it could be. But, like, Sans and Alphys are, perhaps, implied to have known each other. So, does Papyrus know her beyond just the weird marathon they run in the dump? There are a lot of questions I have in regards to the nature of Papyrus' relationships. So, I think that's probably my least favorite thing because we know that, if you kill him in a neutral run, people overthrow Toriel over it. Despite not feeling popular, or really having many canon relationships, everyone freaking loves him. So, why is that? (Maybe we're getting more on that subject the mixed up world of Deltarune? I dunno?? We'll see???) Anywho, thanks for the ask!! :D

Ooh what’s Darker Destinies sounds interesting!

!! It’s my PMD AU!! It basically serves as a third installment to the PMD Sky plotline since it focuses on Giratina and the Distorted Realm (PMD-verse Distortion World basically lol). It’s got a lot of twists and is actually pretty dark for a PMD AU but it’s one of my all time favorites 🥰 When I first came up with the concept I had just finished watching Made In Abyss for the first time so that influenced it a lot. And it’s perfect bc the dungeon Giratina rules over in Sky is called World Abyss so I was like OH YO I can DEFINITELY use this haha

Long story short Pip gets whisked off to the Distorted Realm as just an extension of her soul, while her body remains in the real world. Chimchar asks Dialga to send him to the future so he can recruit the Future Trio—so they can help him figure out what’s going on with Pip and where she went. Meanwhile Pip starts running into lookalikes of her friends and realizes they’re from a different timeline where things did NOT end very well for them. Grovyle has become sort of a mercenary and adopted Dusknoir’s “survive no matter the cost” outlook, and has had his fair share of devastating losses (both his own Pip and Celebi being killed before they could go back to the past and retrieve the Time Gears). The guild is in shambles due to the world literally ending; they were forced to turn rogue, Chatot is dead and Chimchar took over as Guildmaster because Wigglytuff’s too emotionally distraught to lead. Everyone existing in the Distorted Realm is miserable and trying to kill each other and have turned even more dark and twisted than the Dark Future. It’s a MESS. But luckily Pip’s there to start getting things into gear and get everyone moving in the right direction. Starting with heading down into World Abyss (which, to the surface Pokemon, is considered to be an absolute death trap to be avoided at all costs) to meet with Giratina ;)

There’s a lot more going on in the AU but yeah it’s one I’ve had for a while! And one I’ve been wanting to work on more. If I could turn this into a ROM hack one day that would be SO neat

Of course you understand were he was coming from, two of them were basically each other anchor for a very long time. At the same time, "Caleb, this is the only time we have together. Can't that wait after the movie?" You asked gently.

Imagine you tried to understand. Really, you tried to understand over and over again. "Please Caleb, just after the movie. Can't we have this moment?" Just us? You want to add but kept your mouth shut. This always happened, and everytime you understand. But just this once, just this once, you are asking for his time to be sole yours, even just for an hour.

Imagine the way you watch him look away, look down into his phone then into his watch. It felt like he was running out of time. "Caleb..." You took a hold of his hand. He held it back, "..please." "what was that?" "Please don't make me chose between you and her." You swore you felt hour heart stop.

Imagine before you could even think, your mouth opens. "Why, because you'll choose her?" It wasn't even a question. Because deep down, you already knew the answer. Before he could even answer, you let go of his hand and and look back from the screen. "It's alright. You should go."

"I'm sorry." You heard him whisper but you did not look at him nor spare a glance. "I'll be right back as soon as I can." Taking a hold of your hand for a moment and giving it a squeeze, he stood up and kiss the crown of your head that you pretended not to care. "I'll be right back, okay?"

Imagine the rest of the movie was a blur, whether it was the heavy feeling on your chest, or the silent tears that was rolling in your cheeks. None the less you felt done, so done. He did not even answer, but his actions tells everything that is needed to be said.

Imagine arriving at your door in the middle of the night, going through your bag as you look for your keys and just as you find them, your phone rang, the name of the caller flashing as your lover. Heh, lover? Can you even call him that? You don't know anymore.

Imagine just staring at the call, then once again, the screen went black. You just look away and press in the key into your door. And you twist and open it, you heard your phone rang once again. But as you push the door open, all you were greeted by a rush of burning flame and a loud boom. Just like that, everything went black.
